Hello everyone, well anyone who is still here. After four years the series is getting another season. I am so happy and excited and could only wish this site became as busy as it once was. I personal have been going through a rough patch where I lost my muse for roleplaying completely. However in the past few weeks I've slowly gotten better and hope one day to post a decent post again.
I welcome everyone to join once more and lets have fun and be ready when Ikebukuro opens again.
P.S. if anyone knows how to add a chatroom on Proboards please message me. With this upgrade I feel like a noob and know nothing. Thank you and hope to see you again.

I agree with you! I personally have been rereading my Durarara!! manga that I bought at cons last year and only wished that they released more. But more than ever I wish the light novels were released in the States, that's where all the action goes down. I personally feel as if the second season will barely scrape the top of all the drama again. What do you think?

I admit I haven't actually consumed much of the other media besides the anime. I remember starting the manga a while ago, but never reading more than a few chapters. I do know some things about the novels though and I really want to read them! I'm hoping the second season is good, but with all the stuff I've heard happens, seems like it'll be hard to fit everything. I'm looking forward to it nevertheless

Well there are a few changes in the manga compared to the anime, but not much. It feels as if it goes quicker in the manga, less filler so to speak. I also saw a preview for the next set of manga to come out and it showed Kida's reaction to rejoining the Yellow Scaves as very intense. I was all "it wasn't like that in the episode o.o" But more than anything I want to read the novels, because once Mikado turns Bosskado, he's very very...very...dark? I can't seem to find the right word. And I feel as if I won't be able to do him justice in roleplaying once that happens.

I'm so excited for the second season! I really hope we get to see Aoba and Akane and Vorona. I'd also love to read the light novels. I know people do fan translations, but it's difficult for me to focus on reading light novels when it looks like it's in a fan fic format - like, it's hard to consider what I'm reading as canon if I can't differentiate it from fan fic. I hope that makes sense. I have the first three manga volumes, but I haven't been able to afford much further in the manga than that.

Same here! So excited for January 2015! So close yet so far! What is everyone most looking forward to? Me personally, and this is my Bosskado talking, I can't wait to stab Aoba. Just saying hahaha.

Definitely Aoba is what I'm looking most forward to, and getting to meet Chikage, Vorona, and others. But mostly Aoba. And the hand pen stabbing. :3
