Character Biography
Short Bio: Shizuo grew up in a rather normal family. The first time he displayed his strength was when he caught his younger brother, Kasuka, eating his pudding. He picked the refrigerator up and had intended on throwing it at his brother. However, he ended up in the hospital with broken bones from the stress of his strength. After this came more anger spurts and more broken bones (and those broken bones weren't always his). When he was in elementary school, he met a woman working in a bakery while walking home with Kasuka. The woman noticed that she had always seen him with injuries and told him to be sure to always drink his milk. It was rare that Shizuo came across such kindness and thus he began to care for her deeply. While he was walking home with his brother one day, he saw her being assulted by several men and he lost his temper. In doing so, he nearly destroyed the bakery and even hurt the woman that was nice to him. Horrified by his actions, he never spoke to her again.
After the incident with the bakery, he decided to stop holding back. After so long, his muscles and bones grew stronger and he stopped hurting himself when he got into fights. He attended high school with Shinra Kishitani and Izaya Orihara, which is where his hatred for Izaya started. He is known as one of the most dangerous people in Ikebukuro. He faced anyone that dared challenge him and he made sure to lay them out. With such a temper came a down side, however; he was fired from many jobs, including fast food, and car cleaning, all because of his temper. It was when he was working as a bartender that his now famous idol of a brother arrived and told him he shouldn't change jobs so often and gave him a box of bartender outfits. He was strongly affected by his brother's words and did all he could to keep that bartending job.
Even though he held that job for much longer than any other, it wasn't meant to last. Izaya Orihara framed him for a crime that remains unknown. Shizuo was found innocent of it, but was fired in the end. It was soon after that Tom Tanaka, one of Shizuo's old classmates, asked him to work as his debt collector and bodyguard.
Personality: More often then not he can be found following Tom Tanaka around as a rather simple and nondescript person. He has a rather short fuse and when he is angered, his body acts out on its own, thus giving him the power to fight with overwhelming strength. Despite his destructivesness, he doesn't like violence. He is also one of the people that Masaomi Kida warned Mikado to stay away from. He's rather calm and laid back, unless pissed off or anywhere near Izaya Orihara, in which case he will grab the nearest thing and chuck it in the air at Izaya's head, then normally he will run after him screaming his name.
