Since you learned pretty much everything you need to know about the site by reading the Rules (you did read those, right?), the list of character rules is pretty simple, and is actually more step-by-step instructions on applying for your character than it is a list of rules.
- Visit our Character List. The taken characters are clearly labeled. Choose the available character that most suits your preferences.
- Send a PM to me, UndergroundGod, stating the character for which you’d like to audition.
- I will send you a prompt! Write a roleplay sample (either something akin to an intro post, or even a short story) based on the prompt. Your sample must be at least 300 words long and should preferably (but not necessarily) include some dialogue. You may control other characters in this sample post in order to initiate interaction, but the focus should be on the character you chose. If you are having trouble replying to the prompt we initially give you, let us know and we will devise a second option for a prompt.
- It is of the utmost importance that you highlight all your writing abilities through this sample post. Edit as many times as you need to, as multiple grammar and spelling errors will mean that your sample will need to be revised and resubmitted. You may try to submit an audition sample up to three times before your application for the character will be denied permanently.
- After, and only after, your audition sample has been approved, find the character profile application and fill out all the necessary or applicable information. Like your sample, your profile should be completed with little or no errors, and should be filled out according to all the character instructions.
- Post your complete profile as a new thread in the Character Board.
---Be sure to pick out any color of your choice HERE - An admin will reply to your profile and either approve or deny (no worries, a denial will include constructive criticism to help you improve!).
- Once approved, your profile will be moved to the Accepted Characters subfolder, your character will be removed from availability in the Character List, and you may begin to roleplay!
