*BLINK*
A new private message appeared on the Dollar's site by a one Walker Yumasaki. It was sent to only a select few that he knew in real life. It read as follows:
"Greetings Gals and Ghouls!
I, Walker Yumasaki, have invited you to a night of fun and fear! Since it's October and Halloween is creeping up on us, I've decided to host a cosplay party! We'll be meeting at sundown at the abandoned apartment complex in downtown Ikebukuro and dance with the devil until the sun rises the next day! This Saturday to Sunday only! Don't be late!
PS. Guests are welcome to join! Happy Haunting!"
The carefree otaku kept tripping over the bandages of his mummy costume as he spruced up the place for his guests. Sure, this place was condemned, but he didn't care. As long as they stayed away from the parts not covered in caution tape, they'd be safe and sound. His heart raced with excitement as he subconsciously hummed the Nyan Cat song.
"Ri-Ri said she'd be a neko maid just for me!" He chuckled as if still in middle school, "OOoh, I'm so excited! I wonder who else will show up!? Dudes, this is going to be the BOMB!! And just wait until I show them what I have in store!"
Tonight, he was going to show his dark side. Walker was always the adventurous type. And just because he seemed innocent on the outside, didn't mean he was. In his backpack, he had stuff even Erika wouldn't touch. Incense, a Ouija board, scented candles, wolf's bane. Everything to preform the perfect seance. The Dollars were certainly in for a real treat.

Mikado logged onto the Dollars site to see if there were any major things occurring in Ikebukuro. As he scrolled down his site, suddenly a message popped on the right corner of his screen. He recognized the username as one his friends he actually knew in real life and clicked the message and scanned its contents.
"Greetings Gals and Ghouls!
I, Walker Yumasaki, have invited you to a night of fun and fear! Since it's October and Halloween is creeping up on us, I've decided to host a cosplay party! Mikado’s eyebrows shot up, this was certainly interesting. A Halloween party. He grabbed the small calendar he kept by his desk and looked at the nights Walker was suggesting to hold the party. He was free, and was certain that if he didn’t go to the party, Kida would drag him out to pick up girls in whatever costumes they would be wearing that night.
Which reminded Mikado, just what would he wear? He glanced again at the line in the message that said Guests are welcome…
Hm…I wonder if Anri would like to go? a slight blush crept up to his cheeks as he imagined Anri wearing a witch costume. It was normal for him to have those thoughts, but still he shook his head in embarrassment.
Mikado replied an RSVP back to Walker and smiled as he told himself that he would ask Anri if she would like to go to the party with him tomorrow. He hoped she said yes.
Well here it was, the day of the Halloween party and Mikado adjusted the collar of his vampire costume once more. Then he went to make sure his fake fangs were in place and in no threat to fall out. He had to look the part of a scary vampire, though he was sure he would still act awkward around Anri.
Mikado sighed and knocked on Anri’s door. He wondered what her costume would be, but what really made him wonder is what to expect at the party. From what the address was in the message, the party would seem to be held at was commended, to be knocked down any day. But that couldn’t be right, Walker wouldn’t host a party at such a dangerous place right?
…
Right?

Erika frowned as the handmade cat ears and cat-paw gloves weren't coming out the way that she had hoped they would. She was an artisan, it shouldn't be this hard!
She sighed and put the ruined materials in a box. Maybe she could salvage them later. But right now she had to find a decent replacement. What could she go as that would be a suitable replacement for a cat?
She looked around her room, her eyes landing on her cosmetics, which were strewn all over her desk amongst some manga and figurines. She picked up the rotted green color foundation that she had bought for laughs once upon a time.
Well . . . Walker was going as a mummy. . . . Maybe she could somewhat match him?
She took the green and purple make-up she owned into the bathroom with her, then locked the door before turning to the sink and setting the make-up around it. She fetched the make-up remover from under the sink and dampened a washcloth with it. She then proceeded to remove the cover-up she was wearing.
Erika furrowed her eyebrows at the way the small cuts were looking. They were starting to look a little infected.... But that was all right, at least for now. Zombies had gross-looking wounds, right? She was about to apply the green foundation, but then it occurred to her that she might want to change clothes first.
Soon, she was in ripped jeans, a High School of the Dead T-shirt, dirty sneakers, and a nasty-shade of green foundation, coupled with dubious shades of purple smeared here and there, covered her skin. She made a decent zombie, if she did say so herself.
Hopefully Walker wouldn't be too disappointed.

It had been one of his busier weeks. Izaya had netted a couple hundred thousand dollars over the past few days and if his job wasn’t all about staying on top of current events (remembering who wanted to kill who, who had stolen what, when, and how, and keeping track of the locations of every person who owed him money or who he was blackmailing), Izaya would have just left the city to take a small vacation. Not that those ever lasted, as he had about two days of relaxation before boredom took over and he needed to come back to Ikebukuro to get that daily dose of human interaction that allowed him to thrive.
The sun was setting outside the windows of his office building as he settled back in his desk chair. Namie had just left for the day with her usual and casual curse on his wellbeing and Izaya made his rounds on the internet, logging in to his admin account on the Dollars message boards… and found that he had a private message.
His eyes scanned over the message, a grin spreading over his lips. Walker was planning a Halloween party at an abandoned apartment building… one that was widely rumored throughout the city to be haunted? Oh, this would be fun. That building had been closed down for nearly twenty years now and rumors about what exactly had happened in the building were rampant. There had been stories about a door to door salesman that sold knifes and had gone through the building one room at the time, killing anyone who’d turned down his deal. Another rumor was that a cult had made the basement their regular meeting place, and they had successfully summoned a demon… which proceeded to kill all of the cult members and then ever man, woman, and child in the place. Other people claimed that both those stories were ridiculous, and that there was just one cursed room that caused whoever stayed in it to go insane and throw themselves out the window; the rest of the building was just haunted by the tormented souls that had lost their lives in the courtyard of the complex.
Whatever the truth may be, Izaya was very interested and definitely had plans to attend the party. He marked the party into his calendar, and sent out an email to schedule a meeting he had that would interfere with it.
Of course, it wasn’t over at that. Izaya was suddenly very interested as to who else would be coming to this little soiree, so his next step was to use a combination of his admin abilities and skill at hacking to see who else the message had been BCC’d to, then he lined up the usernames to their real life owners and soon he’d compiled a potential guest list. Dotachin, Toguso, and Erika were all invited, of course, along with Mikado, Anri, Kida (who was out of the city on business for Izaya at the moment, so he probably wouldn’t make it), and a few other recognizable names… and Shizuo.
That really made Izaya smile. As if Izaya needed another reason to want to go to this party.
Well, now it was just a matter of picking out some sort of costume and waiting for this Saturday...

Erika skipped toward the abandoned warehouse, humming to herself. She told herself that having a different costume than she said she would wasn't going to be that big a deal. She got distracted from her thoughts when she spotted someone she recognized. She smiled and waved at him.
"Hey! Takashi!"
Takashi turned and waved back at her.
"Erika-san! I knew I'd see you here. You and Walker-san are always together."
Erika nodded. She and Walker met Takashi in one of the many bookstores they frequented. He was a huge trekkie, as his costume reflected. He wore the red uniform of the Star Trek Enterprise. They walked together to the warehouse.
"Walker! I'm here with Takashi!"
She shook the thought of Walker noticing that her wounds weren't make-up-made out of her head. If she worried about it, he was bound to notice.

Shizuo was out walking the streets with his boss, Tom. His phone jingled from his pocket so he reached in and pulled it out and flipped it open. Seemed to be a message from the Dollars board. Halloween party. Yea that's not happening. He closed the phone and shoved it back into his pocket.
Looking up he blinked at Tom, who had been looking at the phone with him.
“I'm not going.” He said then started to walk away, ignoring the call of 'Yes you are.' It seemed his boss thought he could use the break. Break, what break? He went home at the end of each day and that was his break. In the end he made a bet with Tom. A bet he was going to keep. There was no way he was going to that party and dressed like that, of all things.
Later that day Shizuo grumbled as he put the cigarette out and walked into the costume store. Tom had set him up, he had to of. Not he was stuck going to this crazy thing. He'd go take a picture of himself there or something then leave. He had no intention of staying there longer then a half hour. If that.
Shizuo walked out of the costume store holding a bag with his costume in it. He headed home, grumbling the entire way.
Finally home, he took his shoes off, and set the bag by the door. Intending on leaving it there till the night of the party. Which was a good few days away. He had plenty of time to casually forget about it.

Walker could hear his name being called, and he turned sharply to see Erika arrive with their friend Takashi. Normally, he would be distraught at his girlfriend lying to him about being a cute neko, but being the carefree otaku he was- the zombie stuff impressed him greatly. He grinned as he went to hug her.
"OMG, Rii-Rii you look totally rad! Like, seriously, you put me to shame! Ha, perhaps I should ask you to do my make-up!"
He was hesitant to plant her a kiss as he didn't want to mess up her perfect face. So he just kissed the top of her head before giving Takashi a bro hug.
"So... Picard or-?"
"Just an ordinary red shirt. I didn't feel like getting creative."
"Awesome, awesome. You should have let Rii-Rii put zombie make up on you too, Taka." He snickered at the Trekkie joke.
"Ha ha, very funny. So we're the first ones here?"
"Well technically the party doesn't start for another hour or so. Did you come to help me clean up the place?"

Erika smiled brightly as Walker gave her a hug. Relief washed over her as she let out the breath she hadn't realized she was holding. He wasn't upset! Yay!
She laughed at the mention of her doing Walker's make-up. "I will if you help me convince Dotachin to let me do him up for the gents~" She did have a specific man in mind for Kadota, but really she just wanted an excuse to make Kadota look more like the attractive stud that he was under that thing he called a hat.
She giggled at the Red Shirt joke, then nodded at Walker's question.
"This place hasn't been used in years, right? So there's probably a lot of dust and stuff, and no one wants to breathe any of that in, now do they?"
While she had no objections to helping with cleaning up, she really just wanted to be next to Walker again. She didn't like being away from him - or Kadota and Togusa for that matter - for too long.

Anri was putting the finishing touches on her costume when her doorbell rang. That must be Mikado, she thought. She adjusted the little horns on her head and checked herself over in the mirror. Mostly satisfied, she went and opened the door. Mikado was standing there in what seemed to be a vampire costume. He made a good vampire, she admitted to herself.
She momentarily wondered if her costume looked any good. Mikado had only asked her to the party a few days ago, so it had been quite troublesome to find one on such short notice. Many of the Halloween stores had had a limited selection, and almost nothing in her size. In the end, she had gone with something that was actually a size too small; it had been the only one she liked. The slim pickings resulted in her being dressed as a "Sexy Devil", according to the costume label.
"I really like your costume, Mikado," she said with a small smile, "I'm almost ready, I just need to get my purse." She rushed back inside quickly and stuffed her cell phone, wallet, and other essentials into a small bag with a long strap. She figured it wouldn't clash too much with her costume since it was red. She slung it over her shoulder and headed back to the door. "Ready to go," she affirmed, locking the door behind her.
"So, where is the party anyway?" she asked as they walked together. She remembered Mikado mentioning the address briefly when he had asked her to come, but she didn't know the area off the top of her head. It was an obscure enough address, though, to make her worry that it was in a bad part of town. Not that she couldn't defend herself if there was trouble, it's just that she would much prefer to have a nice night with Mikado at the party.

Walker coughed a bit when Erika mentioned the dust. "Yeah, it's pretty musty in here. I already sweeped the floor, but it doesn't seem like it helped much... I shoulda gotten more cleaning stuff, but meh." He shrugged.
Walker wasn't the type to over-analyze or care about matters that seemed trivial to him. Of course, every once and a while, looking over what he thought didn't matter would affect some one in a negative way. And more often than not, he actually wouldn't feel guilty- just shrug and say "Sorry~!".
"Anyway, this place really decorates itself," He sighed, "But I did come in earlier with Dotachin and rig up some electrical lights. I mean, being in complete darkness would be cool and all, but I don't want anyone to die tonight- you know what I mean?"

Erika scanned the interior, nodding. "Yeah, it's really spooky in here. Would hate to be here all alone, to be honest.... Is Dotachin still here?"
Her cell phone rang just then. The ringtone was the opening to her newest anime obsession. She whipped it out and answered it, moving a bit to get a better signal.
"Moshi mosh. Subaru~" Erika giggled as Togusa snapped at her to stop calling him that. "What's up?" She grinned brightly. "Yay! I'm already here with Yumacchi and a friend from the bookstore. Mm-hm. Yep, that's the address. Cool. See you soon!"
Erika hung up and smiled at Walker. "Togusa says he'll be here soon. Do you have the cleaning supplies with you?"

Mikado heard Anri’s door click open and he went to adjust his vampire collar one last time before Anri saw him. The door fully opened and he then saw her smiling face and it took all he had to stop his mouth from hanging open. He quickly looked at her costume; the blood rushing to his cheeks and making him blush deeply.
Anri seemed to be dressed up as a “Sexy Devil” and it he noted that the costume may be just a size too small. He wondered if she knew but he didn’t want to say anything to make it seem awkward.
His voiced cracked when Anri complimented his costume. When his voice seemed to have returned back to normal, Mikado answered her question as they walked to their destination on the full moon night.
“Um…” Mikado’s eyes tried to unsuccessfully look away from Anri’s costume, and he lost count how many times he adjusted his collar because the weather seemed to have risen up and made it all stuffy for him to breath.
“Well according to what Walker said in the invite, it’s suppose to be in this abandoned apartment complex…but I checked the address and it seems the building was actually set to be demolished soon.” He looked at Anri and laughed nervously.
“You don’t think Walker would actually hold a party like this at a place set to be demolished…right?” He waved his hand as if trying to fan away the crazy idea.
“He probably just added it to add a scare factor since its Halloween after all…yeah that must be it…” Mikado kept rambling with Anri by his side until they both finally reached the building and knocked on the door waiting to be let inside. He looked around the building’s surroundings and it seemed pretty wore down as if it could collapse on them, and Mikado’s spine shivered at the thought. But he wasn’t scared. And if he was, he wouldn’t show it in front of Anri.

Anri blushed as she noticed Mikado trying not to stare at her ridiculous costume. She had hoped it wouldn't look too bad on her. As far as she could tell, it was only a bit tight (especially in the chest area) and at least it covered most of her up. Well, it was too late to change now, so she cast the issue out of her mind and listened to Mikado tell her about the location.
"Demolished? Why would he hold a party there?" she wondered aloud. She suspected Walker was crazy, but surely he wasn't that crazy. Mikado waved his hands, as if to brush away the thought and said something about Walker just wanting everything to be scary for Halloween.
"Yeah...you're probably right.." she said quietly and listened as Mikado went on about the building and the party. Anri wasn't the type of person to scare easily, however, being in a condemned building wasn't on the top of her to-do list. As they neared the location of the party, she glanced briefly at the surrounding area. Everything seemed pretty old and worn down. Mikado knocked on the door and they both waited patiently for someone to open it. Anri looked around at the decrepit buildings one more time and cringed at the thought of any of them (including the one they were about to walk into) collapsing. She really hoped Walker knew what he was doing when he picked this place.

"Yeah, I still have a few things for clean-up," Walker replied, motioning towards a supply closet. "I did the best I could with my lonesome, but it's harder than it looks. Especially in this cosplay- which I made myself thank you very much!" And yes, it wouldn't be wrong to say he was good with his hands.
Hearing the putter-patter of footsteps, he turned and noticed Mikado and Anri arrive. Oh good, more people! He smiled and held out his arms as if to invite them into a hug. "Look! It's my favorite moe couple! Aren't you two cute!? Just like Syaoran and Sakura of CLAMP! 'Cept Mika-puu isn't some doppelganger created for a higher purpose and Sono-chan has bigger boobs. Still, love your costumes! Was it your intention to kinda match?"
He laughed before putting an arm around Mikado, "You're the first guests to arrive on time. Which is funny 'cause I expected Shinra, Celty, Dotachin, or Subaru here before you. But beggers can't be choosers- make yourselves comfortable!"

Erika promptly forgot all about the cleaning once Mikado and Anri showed up. She let out a squeal, then hurried over to them and locked Anri into a bone-crushing hug.
"Anri-chan! You look so spicy in that outfit!"
To punctuate her statement, she copped a feel before moving on to enveloping Mikado into her A-cup bosom. She either didn't notice or pointedly ignored the fact that, despite not being that much taller than Mikado, she had managed to force Mikado to face-plant into her breasts.
"And Mikapuu!" If this were an anime, hearts would be dancing around her and Mikado's heads. "So moe-moe!"
Togusa walked into the warehouse at about this moment and furrowed his eyebrows at what was happening. Where was Kadota when you needed him to reign in those two crazy otaku?
